Anya Marina in thug mode

I heard Anya Marina's version of T.I's "Whatever you like," and thought it was so funny! You don't realize how ridiculous these lyrics are until you hear them on a sweet, airy voice.

Ely Guerra in Concert

A couple of friends and I saw Ely Guerra in concert last Friday. To say she was good is an understatement. I shot this pic with my phone, made no edits, and somehow got this funny texture and pink color. I really recommend her music to everyone!

Beards, Bracelets, Buns & Beer

My brother, Johnny, is letting his beard grow out. I think it's gonna be a good look for him. (He was mad I snapped this pic of him.)

Caught up with my aunt this weekend. She gave me this faux leather, beaded bracelet. I love the metallics.

Tried La Fin Du Monde at Coco Miel this weekend for the 1st time. Amazing.

fierce denimosity

BIG NEWS! One of our local boutiques, Hommework, just received a shipment of some of my ALL TIME favorite jeans, Bleu Lab denim! The jeans are designed to work reversibly so it's kinda like buying two pairs at it so much! HW is located in Kern, right next to Luka 7.

Channeling my inner romantic

I've always loved Anthropologie. I love the textured photographs, the styling, the layering, the unimaginable color combinations...the understated knits and the over-the-top accessories--I've always found it so serene and romantic. I receive e-mail updates and in today's catalog I fell in love with the Yukata dress. As I continued to browse page after page of new arrivals, I noticed a link on the lower right corner of the site--a link called The Anthropologist. I clicked it, and to my surprise, found a beatiful photo blog by Phillip Toledano. The blog is dedicated to his daughter Loulou. The photos are strangely beautiful. enjoy.
