...And More Feathers

I added some new feathers to my hair today. Went with a bold blue, red and yellow. What do you guys think?

YES to Hi-Liter Pretty

We all need this for summer! While the same color may not look best on everybody, talk to your beauty consultant about helping you find a fluorescent lip color that suits your skin tone. Check out suggestions at Beauty High

What's Good on Manicure Friday

We've seen this oval shaped nail quite a bit for some time now. Question is, would you give up perfectly squarish, short, simply manicured nails for something like this? I'm kinda obsessed with these nails.

More Chic Homes: D Home Magazine

Saw these photos of a GORGEOUS home featured in D Home Magazine. I am such a sucker for eclectic, impeccable decor. Interior designers have such a God-given gift. I wish I could put something together like this...

Chopped locks

I responsibly chopped all my hair off yesterday. I say I did it responsibly because it was something I contemplated for a really long time. I'm still in shock but nonetheless grateful for my 10 minute blow-dry. I've gotten mixed opinions about it, mostly good. Can't make everyone happy but I guess all that matters is that I like it, right?!

"Love Came Here..." on a Friday...and missed me

Here are a couple of sexy songs for you all! I've been a fan of Spanish singer, Luz Cazal for some time but just recently discovered Lhasa de Sela and I loooooooooove her music, particularly "Love Came Here." Hope you enjoy xxo

MK's Vintage Finds

Have you ever tried browsing for one-of-a-kind vintage items on ebay? Yeah me too. And like you, I'm just as frustrated at the 134,309,309 results of dusty charms or dingy hats you can smell through the computer screen.

So...with that said, Mary Kincaid of Zuburbia does all the research so you don't have to! Each week, she finds the most unique vintage items and compiles an easy-to-browse-through list. To read her weekly column, click here. I absolutely love this and find it so necessary!

In the meantime, here are some of her picks this week.

Feather Impulse

What's with these feather extensions? And why do I love them?! I noticed them on a fabulous tran while in MAGIC-Las Vegas and haven't stopped thinking about them ever since. My friend, Farzad's adorable cousin got them, and now I get a call from my bff in NYC telling me he sees them all over the place and loves them. So naturally I want them too, right?

I've been contemplating a haircut for weeks and I think I've finally come up with something I like (will post photos). And while I'm at it, I'm going to try and have a few feathers clipped in for good luck ;)

Don't know what I'm talking about? Here's a peek:

Best part about them is that they can be washed, ironed, blow-dried, etc., just as you'd treat regular hair extensions.

fringe with benefits

I've been a fringe enthusiast for a bit now. I know that for a fact because:

1) today while watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I happened to appreciate Sloane Peterson's white fringe jacket a lot more than when I watched the movie some 10-15 years ago;
and 2) The other day my mom and I walked in to Michael Kors and I almost choked when I saw the BEAUTIFUL fringe crescent hobo in gray suede!

Sadly, I am not in the market for a $900 bag, but I am happy to have recently found a cheaper option at H&M. With that said, you can bet your fine asses I will stalk MK until that bag is at least 30% off. And that is all...good night.
