On deck: Freeze Frame

I saw this picture last week and absolutely loved everything about it. For one, blue is my favorite color and two, I've been wanting to hang up several different-sized frames on one of the walls in my room. I have been collecting frames and getting some of my favorite pictures together. Will post a photo once I finish it!

Kate Middleton, the prince and all that jazz

So apparently the day after Kate Middleton and her hot-ass royal boo announced their engagement, some store in the UK that carries Issa sold out of their entire stock (!) Props to Issa, btw. I was very excited when I saw Middleton's vintage sapphire, but even MORE SO when I saw Issa's entire spring 2011 collection. How amazing are these pieces? I have a feeling all of this gorgeous draping would flatter TONS of different body types.

I've got a Cougar on my shoulder

I was never big on brooches...until NOW! I'd wear this every day if I could...

Oh, Shearling

I found this in my mom's closet last week. It's nuts and she'll probably never wear it but I loved it and probably would. Janelle and I are going to take it out sometime for some real, big boy photos.

Nail Rock

So I tried Nail Rock, the alternative to Minx and I wasn't crazy about it. Measuring the individual papers to my extra-small nail beds was one thing; applying the heat to my nail though...that was what the fuss was really about. I tried applying low heat, the paper wasn't molding to my nail, then I applied high heat and it burned my finger. Sure, it's $10-$15 bucks but if you want your manicure to last, I'd stick to the pricier route (minx.)

Two of my Favorites: Vuitton & Diwali

Louis Vuitton is paying homage to India's biggest holiday, Diwali. The displays will remain throughout the holidays (which means you shouldn't expect any red velvet or white fluff.) The Indian culture is one of my absolute favorites, I love this all.

Tea hee

I know I'm obsessed. I found a tea ring this weekend... and I didn't have to spend over $50! I stopped by a vendor (Taber Studios) at a local holiday fair. Found the tea rings for a fraction of the price and even picked up a solid gold cuff. So excited I saved on the tea ring, only disappointed when I saw the cuff I purchased online at a WAY CHEAPER PRICE!

Whatever, here is a picture of my ring. I am so excited! (sorry about my manicure, or lack thereof).

high tea

I consider myself an extremist...I LOVE really gaudy, over-the-top accessories; I'm talking big hair, fake, tranny lashes, costume jewelry... but at the same time, I share that same flagrant passion for really simple, minimal items. Like these amazing tea rings, for example. Why do I love these so much?! These small, insignificant $58 pieces of dainty gold that don't even fit on my whole finger? I've had my eye on them for some time...and I think I'm going to go ahead and buy one...question is, what pink gold or gold? Available at Catbird

The Stanton Mag

A group of colleagues/friends and I recently launched an online mag called The Stanton. Majority of the content is El Paso-based and we're working on making it the best it can be. New material is published on a monthly basis and our blog is updated daily. Enjoy.

Honestly WTF, No, Really

Found this amazing site called Honestly WTF. Daily Candy tweeted about a knotted hair idea on their blog (inspired from a Michael Kors show) I absolutely loved. Make sure to check 'em out! Happy Thursday.
